Filling Out Your Portraits

    Next you're going to want to go to log into your account and click the "My Portrait" tab on the top left.  You'll see a section titled "Available Portraits"; these are what you need to fill out in order to receive email invites to surveys.  They use your answers from these portraits to decide whether or not to send you particular survey invites.  They're a sort of pre-qualifier, to help ensure that you'll qualify for a good percentage of the surveys you're invited to.  At the moment there are 9 different portraits you need to fill out:
  • About Your Household
  • The Products, Services and Technology You Use
  • Key Events and Experiences in Your Life
  • Your Daily Activities
  • Your Social Activities and Networks
  • Your Priorities, Outlook and Thoughts
  • Participation and Politics
  • About Your Employment
  • About Your Digital Cameras and Photo Sharing
After you've filled all these portraits out, you can sit back and wait for the invites to arrive in your email.  You won't get a ton at once or anything, but you should get at the very least a couple a week.  It seems like every survey you're invited to will have a cash incentive.  You have to wait a little before the money will show up in your account, but you can request a check no matter how much is in your account.

    Now let's take a look at what I've made so far with SurveySavvy:
  • $71.00 Total - 9/11/2008 ($45.50 increase in a year)
  • $25.50 Total - 9/17/2007 
How Much I've Earned

If you click the "My Account" tab up top and then click the "View Account" tab, then you can see what you've earned too.  As you can see, it pays to tell your friends about SurveySavvy.  
    So you can see that you DO NOT have to pay to sign up with survey companies like this and they can be profitable.  Check out SurveySavvy and see how well it will work for you.

     SurveySavvy is really a great survey company.  I've gotten a decent amount of surveys through them.  But, as I've said before, you may get a lot more survey invites than I do, based on your "Portrait" answers.

Signing Up

    First you're going to want to click the "Join" tab up top and register.  You'll have to fill in basic information like:
  • Country, Name, Address, Email Address, Gender & Date of Birth
  • Choose a Password and Security Question (Just in case you forget your password)
  • Background information on:
    • Race
    • Marital Status
    • Household 
    • Education
    • Job
    • Language
    • Phone Number
    • Internet Connection
And that's it, you should get an email with your registration details in it.  Make sure to check your "Junk Mail" box too, just in case.
