    • Unlimited amount of products (physical & downloads) & categories.  Plus a dynamic image for each product.
    • Database Backup & Restore.
    • Temporary & Permanent Shopping Carts.
    • Secure Transactions with SSL support.
  • Agora v4.0
    • Html & Perl Compatible.
    • Doesn't use a database to store product information - it uses flat files instead.
  • PayPal Cart
    • If you're already set up with a PayPal Merchant Account then you can easily integrate the PayPal Shopping Cart onto your site.
You also get a discount with e-onlinedata, an online credit card processing and payment system.  You get this discount because your site is set up using vDeck.  This can be pretty handy because you can accept credit card payments and set it up to direct deposit your payments to your bank account.
As you can see, setting up a site using STARTLOGIC as your hosting company can be pretty beneficial if you plan on setting up your online store yourself.  If you're interested in using STARTLOGIC as your host or just finding out more information, I made an info page with more details on the package I have myself.  Or if you just want to go directly to STARTLOGIC's website, you can follow the link in the paragraph above.
If you don't have your own products to sell, then
maybe you should check out Mega Goods and their wholesale electronics.  You can get high quality electronic products from them at wholesale prices, sell them at whatever price you want to and then Mega Goods will ship the products to the customers for you.  What's that mean for you?  Big profits and minimal work!

My Online Store

And to close, here's my store that I run and own.  I hope reading this page has helped spark some new ideas and showed you a few different options for your own stores.  I'm sure you'll be selling and earning in no time, but don't thank me.  You have no one to thank but yourself; you put in the effort, I just gave you a suggestion.

Innovate.  Do; don't just say.  Get those stores going.

Will B. Guilty Rags

This store is mostly a clothing store, with some extra accessories on the side.  Some of it might be offensive to you, but it's all in good fun.  It's mostly clothing but there's also items like mouse pads and bags.  Most of the graphics and slogans are original, some are even lines from my own personal poetry, so don't copy them and try to put them off as your own.  If you really want to make your own items you can do just that at my designer shop, just make sure they're your own ideas and not mine, or someone else's.  If you have Myspace, you can add my profile for this store for updates on new slogans/graphics, sales, new items and just general store news.

marketing, then use a search engine and search for things like:  "free store" or maybe "free storefront".  I'm sure you'll eventually find one that suits your store idea best.  Then I'll give you an example of how you can create your store completely on your own.  Throughout this page I'll also show you examples of my own stores using both techniques.

Lulu

Lulu is a great place for free self publishing; this is one of many sites that will give you a free storefront to sell your products.  There's no set-up fees, you retain the rights to your work, you set your prices and they ship the items for you.  You can sell things like pictures, CDs, books, DVDs and calendars.  This is an easy outlet to profit from your creativity.  They also have forums to help you with any problems you have or to get new ideas on how to make more sales.

Big Cartel

Big Cartel is another "free storefront" site.  You can set your store up quickly and all your sales are sent to your PayPal account.  The best part is, Big Cartel doesn't take a percentage of your profit at all.  They make their money from upgraded shops, you keep 100% of your profits.  And they actually let you set up your own FAQs page, for all the questions your customers might have.  I think that's pretty handy.  These storefronts are great for artists, clothing companies and bands.

                          Shopify

Google

With Shopify you can sell anything you want, they just make it easy for you to set up a storefront.  The storefront is free of course.  They have a library of shop designs if you want to change the look of your store or you can design your own.  They also have handy tools so you can track your orders and organize your inventory.
So, you can see that it's pretty easy to find these "free storefront" sites and they're just about as easy to set up and start earning money.  If you don't want any extra hassles and don't have time to set up your own store, this might be the right option for you.  Your profit is usually a commission per item from these types of stores.  You can set the price at what you want, but the site hosting your storefront usually gets either a percentage or a set price of each sale.

Make Your Own Store

You can still make a decent profit from "free storefront" types of stores but with a little more work you can keep 100% of the profits and have the store exactly how you want without restrictions.  Of course this means setting up your store completely on your own and taking care of shipments and the likes.  But total control means total profit.
You're probably going to need purchase a web hosting package so that your store isn't limited on bandwidth.  I was surprised at all the extras I got when I signed up for a hosting package with STARTLOGIC Web Hosting.  And what kind of extras do you think are included with my package?  That's right, some e-commerce applications that will make setting a store up a lot easier.  You get a few things:
  • osCommerce v2.2.2 (Open Source Commerce)
    • e-Commerce & online store-management software.
    • PHP 4 & MySQL Compatible.
    • Multi-lingual (English, Spanish & German)
    • Automatic Setup for many Online Payment Processors like PayPal and it supports many different currencies.

If someone tells you they just started a business, what might you ask them?  Something like, what do you sell?  That's probably because most businesses do sell something, whether it's a product or service.  So how are YOU going to set up your business if you want to sell items online?
There's two main ways you can go about it; you can either sell your items through a storefront that's already set up for you or you can set up a store completely on your own.  I'm going to help you out with in both ways.  I'll show you a couple examples of ready-made stores you could use, there's so many out there.   If the examples aren't the types of products you'd be interested in
