eBay, which first opened their "doors" in 1995, is probably the most popular online auction website out there today. If you haven't heard of it then you're one of the few and should probably stop reading this. I don't want to ruin it for you. You can buy or sell just about anything on eBay and they reach worldwide. With a little work, you can use eBay to make a very successful business for yourself or you can just use it find random things you need.

uBid

Another online auction site, a little less popular, is uBid. They're very similar to eBay in their setup and the different types of items you can buy and sell. But they have a 100% fraud free guarantee, so you can have more assurance when buying and selling on uBid. There are no listing fees either! They've been around since 1997 and business is still booming.

IbidFREE

IbidFREE is the baby in this group of auction sites, with it only starting out in 2006, but you can sell your items with no listing fees! Those who have sold on eBay know what a relief this can be. The popularity of this site is growing slowly but it may be a little unbalanced. The "freedoms" of this site seem to mostly attract sellers and not buyers as much. And with it not being as popular, there's not as much available for buyers as there is on other more popular auction sites. Give it time though, it'll take hold.

Government Auctions

Another great way to find products cheap for yourself or to resell, if you buy in bulk or get a great deal, is to go to actual auctions. Government auctions seem to have some of the best deals around too! In this section I'll show you a couple sites that will give you insider information on auctions near you.
