So, let's get this out of the way.  Yes, I do have a Myspace profile and no, I'm not going to link to it from this page.  I don't want a bunch of random people adding me after reading this.  I don't have a Myspace for numbers, I have it to keep in touch with some friends.  You know, people that talk to me; people I know in person and otherwise.   So, if you're already a little pissy after reading this far, then I'm probably not like you.  I don't add everyone I can.  I don't try to get people to "whore" me.  And I won't keep you on my list very long if you don't talk to me.
Do you really think that everyone on your "friends" list even knows who you are?  Almost all of the people that accept your friend request, without even saying a word to you or visa versa, are just like you.  They just add people randomly; anyone and everyone.  You're both just looking for numbers, neither of you have that many real friends.  You're cybernetically popular by default, give yourself a high five!
You just need to learn to separate the internet from real life; they aren't equals.  If you really want to be popular that bad, then you need to roll that computer chair back and go outside.  Real people don't have a screen for a face.  I don't care how good you are with GIF animation, that doesn't count.  No one knows you until they meet you in real life.  You can make yourself out to be anyone you want to be online.
Is your self esteem really that low?  I mean, I watch you beg for comments on your pictures with the bribe of, "I'll comment you back."  Why would I want a comment like that?  If you want to say something about a picture of mine, then do it.  It's not a genuine compliment if you have to ask for it.  Plus, you shouldn't make people work for compliments like you're some kind of overly busy celebrity and we're privileged if you say something to us.
Oh, and it better be a good comment, we have to overly compliment you, or it'll be erased and I'll get no comment in return!  Oh man!  All that work down the drain!  Next time you want a comment from me, why don't you drop and give me 20 push ups?  How's that sound?
Come on guys, it's the internet.  Go out and play some basketball or something.  Play a game of "dodge the car."  Ok, no don't do that, I'm kidding.  But do something fun with some real friends.  How enjoyable can it be to..  wait for it... you ready?  Type to someone!!  Is that really that fun?  I mean there's nothing wrong with using Myspace as a way to network for personal or business

reasons.  But if you want to really know these people, then go out and meet them.  I'm sure they're wondering what you're really like too.  And hell, if you meet enough of the people off your list, you might actually be popular for real.
I use Myspace a lot to keep in contact with people, but in reality, it's boring.  It's not like I'm sitting in a circle with all the friends on my list.  We're all on the computer for the same reason, there's nothing better to do at the time.  Do you want to be my friend?  Do you?  Well here I'll show you a picture of me and maybe you can find me.

Oh baby!

Come and find me!  Haha.  But seriously, don't stop using Myspace, get hooked if you want.  But you have to realize you aren't really friends with everyone on your list; thus negating your so called popularity.

So you've heard about Myspace, right?  Did you know, that as soon as you sign up for your own profile that you're automatically cool?  You didn't?  Well, I'm lying, it's just a website.  Since when did signing up to a popular web page make you cool, let alone popular?  I know you from Myspace don't I?  No you don't know me, period!  You may have seen my profile, but that doesn't mean anything.  Would you walk up to Brad Pitt and say, "I know you from People Magazine don't I?"  Use your head internet clones.
I'm going to rant and you're going to read it.  You don't have to agree, in fact, get mad.  But, once you're done reading, step away from the computer and go meet some people if you want to be "popular".
