Signing Up

To start off, you're going to need a website of some sort where you can paste the Adsense code.  You'll need to enter the name of your site and what language it's in.  And then enter what type of an account you want to sign up for.  You can choose:
  • Individual (If your site's not really an official business, more so a personal page)
  • Business (If your site is your business' page)
After you select your accout type, you'll want to select which country you're from.  And then you want to enter your address, this is where they'll send your checks.  Then enter your phone number.  Then you have a couple choices on how you'd want to advertise, like:
  • Adsense for Content (This would be the basic ads, focusing on the content of your site to produce the ads)
  • Adsense for Search (You can have a couple search boxes on your page, which will produce ads in the search results)
Personally, I'd select both of these; you never know when you'll want to use either one.  Lastly, read and accept the policies and you're set.  Submit it and then wait a while to see if you'll get approved.  If you don't at first just keep trying, after you make changes to your page.

I really suggest that you at least THINK about using Adsense to make a little side cash.  It's really simple to set up and it never hurts to up your cash flow.

What I've Made

Let's take a quick look at what I've made using Adsense (As of 3/24/2007):

What I've Made so Far

Come on!  You better be able to do better than that.  Sad, but at least you know there's money to be made.  So check out Adsense, sign up and get making some cash!

Google

Sign up for Google Adsense!  Really, you should, that is if you want to make some cash of the side for doing nothing.  Making money with Adsense is so easy.  All you have to do is put the ads on your page and sit back, relax and watch the money come in.  Advertisers on Google Adwords will pay you to let them advertise on your page.

Your Adsense ads will be slightly intelligent too; there will only be ads that are relevant to what's on your page.  Adsense can tell what keywords are on your page and then it'll bring up the ads based on your wording.  Plus, it won't always be the same ad, Google will rotate different ads onto your pages automatically.  All you have to do is paste the code onto your website once, the rest is up to Adsense.

Google Adsense is a simple "money maker" to run on the side of what you're already doing.  You won't become a millionaire overnight, but, if you follow the guidelines, you could have some extra cash coming to your bank account in no time.
